Welcome to the Child Development Center
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is “Connecting children with God’s love through early care and education.”
PHILOSOPHY
Beautiful Savior Child Development Center exists to lead children on the journey of growth—socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically, creatively and spiritually. At the Child Development Center, children are offered a safe Christian environment where they can celebrate who they are, explore the world around them and learn about Jesus. As an outreach ministry of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, we seek to meet the needs of families and offer them support. Just as Jesus “took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them,” we, too, accept all children into an atmosphere of caring Christian love.
PURPOSE
We believe:
-
Children are important to Christ. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and forbid them not, for such is the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:14
-
Each child is a unique creation of God and we strive to help each child attain a healthy self-concept and individuality.
-
Children learn best about God’s world through active experimentation and exploration.
-
Play is a vehicle for learning and enables each child to progress through each developmental stage.
-
Children should be provided a warm and loving environment which maximizes growth potential in the intellectual, physical, emotional, social, creative and spiritual areas.
-
Early childhood education is a ministry to children and their families.
The Center is licensed by the Department of Human Services and a nonprofit, Lutheran early childhood program operated by Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church of Plymouth, Minnesota.
