Staff members have joined us in our mission to share God’s love to the children and their families. Each day includes prayers, Christian songs, and Bible stories. Children often see staff as “Jesus with skin on.” Therefore, our teachers words and actions model those of our loving, caring, and forgiving Savior- Jesus Christ.
Our Staff Are…Family Friendly
We recognize that children are part of a family and to meet the child’s needs, we also work with the family unit. Teachers are encouraged to involve the family in program events and classroom activities. As professionals, our teachers are here to assist the parents in their child’s development by offering education and information through newsletters, conferences, and other forms of communication. We recognize the unique makeup of each family and join in celebrating their joys, offer comfort during times of sorrow, and understanding in times of stress. We strive to continually evaluate and grow as the needs of our families change. He filled with joy because he had come to believe in God- he and his whole family. – Acts 16:34
Our Staff Are…Team Teachers
Each classroom has a teacher team. Together the team plans activities/lessons and sees that all functions in the classroom are completed. Communication and cooperation are essential components for optimal performance. To be a member of a team no task is too great and none is too small!
Our Staff Are…Primary Caregivers
Within the classrooms, each teacher is also assigned a primary care group. This group of children are the teacher’s responsibility, i.e. chart progress, prepare daily notes, hold parent/teacher conferences, direct parent communication. With this model, each teacher can better focus on each child’s individual needs, allow for more parent communication, and spend more time on the child’s individual development.
Our Staff Are…Professionals
We value the special gifts each teacher brings to our program and we encourage each to continually grow as a professional. We recognize the importance our teachers have to our program and strive to offer the best working environment. Equipment and supplies are replenished continually. Teaching journals and magazines arrive monthly. Breaks and planning are worked into our schedules. Attendance at workshops and classes is encouraged. Teachers are invited to share ideas, suggestions, and needs. We view change as a healthy component to the program and all comments are studied as we strive to grow as a Child Development Center.
